Calligraphy Pens

Mastering a calligraphy pen takes a while as it may not be easy to acquire the skills overnight and becoming familiar with the pen itself. There are certain factors that need to be kept in mind before buying a calligraphy pen.

These sizes vary between different manufacturers.

If you choose a calligraphy dip pen over a fountain pen make sure to assess the benefits provided by each of these pens. A variety of inks are available in the for dip pens in the market such as India ink, traditional iron gall ink or acrylic ink at the same time if you go for a fountain pen, these will ruin and clog the pen. Since dip pens have an interchange nibs they are more flexible and convenient to use when compared to a fountain pen. Calligraphy dip pens are more cost effective when it comes to replacing nibs rather than having to replace an entire pen.

The calligraphy dip pen can be used for quite along time if you make a point to clean the nibs after using them. They are not only long lasting but also produce a high standard of work.
